How do I book a property with IslesAway?
Browse available condos at islesaway.com/listings, pick your dates and guest count, and complete the secure booking directly on our site. You'll receive an instant confirmation email with check-in details.
Is it cheaper to book direct than through Airbnb or VRBO?
Yes. Booking direct with IslesAway guarantees the lowest published rate. You skip Airbnb and VRBO service fees, which typically add 10–20% to the total.
What is included in the nightly rate?
All rates include high-speed WiFi, free parking, air conditioning, a fully equipped kitchen, linens, towels, and beach towels. Government accommodation tax is added at checkout.
What time is check-in and check-out?
Standard check-in is 4:00 PM AST and check-out is 10:00 AM AST. Early check-in or late check-out can sometimes be arranged based on the cleaning schedule — just ask.
How do I get into the property?
You'll receive a self-check-in code by email 24 hours before arrival. There's no need to meet anyone in person, though our local team is always one call away if you need help.
Is parking available?
Yes — every IslesAway property includes complimentary on-site parking for one vehicle. Additional parking is usually available in the same building.
How close are the properties to the beach?
Our Red Hook condos are within walking distance of Cowpet Bay (approximately a 10-minute walk) and a 5-minute drive from Sapphire Beach, Secret Harbour, and Lindquist Beach.
Can I take the ferry to St. John from Red Hook?
Yes. The Red Hook ferry terminal is a short walk from every IslesAway property. The passenger ferry to Cruz Bay, St. John runs roughly every hour and takes about 20 minutes.
Do you allow pets?
Most of our properties are pet-free to accommodate guests with allergies. Please contact us before booking to confirm pet policy for a specific listing.
How do I pay, and is my payment secure?
We accept all major credit cards through Stripe, which is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified. We never see or store your full card number.
What happens if my flight is delayed or cancelled?
Contact us as soon as you know. We work with guests on a case-by-case basis — see our Cancellation Policy for the standard refund schedule, and we always try to find a fair solution.
Are there grocery stores nearby?
Yes. Moe's Fresh Market is in Red Hook within walking distance, and the larger Cost-U-Less is a 10-minute drive. Many guests use Cost-U-Less for a single arrival-day stock-up.
